Babka Baklava Buns (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough Ingredients

01 - ½ tsp salt
02 - 2 eggs
03 - ½ cup melted, unsalted butter
04 - ½ cup warm milk
05 - 3 ½ cups regular flour
06 - ¼ cup regular sugar
07 - 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) quick-rise yeast

→ Filling Ingredients

08 - 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
09 - ¼ cup sugar
10 - ¼ cup melted, unsalted butter
11 - ½ cup finely chopped pistachios
12 - 1 cup finely chopped walnuts

→ Syrup Ingredients

13 - ¼ cup water
14 - ½ cup honey
15 - 1 tsp vanilla

# Instructions:

01 - Stir together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix in eggs, butter, and warm milk. Knead into a smooth ball and leave it covered for an hour to puff up.
02 - Stir the nuts, sugar, and cinnamon together until combined.
03 - Roll out the dough flat like a rectangle. Coat the top with butter, scatter the nut mix, roll it up tight, slice into strips, twist them, and form spiraled buns.
04 - Place buns in a greased tray. Let them sit for 30 minutes, then bake in a 350°F oven for 25-30 minutes or until they’re a nice golden brown.
05 - Warm honey, water, and vanilla together in a small pan. Pour it over your freshly baked warm buns and allow time to soak up that sweetness before digging in.

# Notes:

01 - Enjoy these buns inspired by fluffy babka bread and sweet, nutty baklava.
02 - Boost the taste with some orange zest in your syrup or sprinkle cardamom into the filling.
