Tahini Stuffed Chocolate Dates (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb Medjool dates
02 - ½ cup tahini (sesame seed butter), well stirred
03 - 1 ⅓ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
04 - ½ tsp coconut oil

05 - Sesame seeds, for garnish
06 - Shredded coconut, for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Cut a slit along one side of each date and remove the pit. Arrange pitted dates on a large plate or baking sheet.
02 - Fill the center of each date with about ½ to 1 teaspoon of tahini. Place the tahini-filled dates in the freezer to set.
03 - In a double boiler over medium-low heat, melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil. Stir until fully melted and remove from heat. Cool slightly to ensure the chocolate is not too hot for dipping.
04 - Dip the tahini-filled dates into the melted chocolate, ensuring full coverage. Sprinkle with sesame seeds or shredded coconut as desired.
05 - Place the chocolate-dipped dates on a tray and refrigerate until the chocolate is firm. Serve and enjoy.
