Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized 2-inch pieces. Place the chicken, spices, and oil in a large bowl and combine well.

Thread the chicken onto skewers, folding the pieces in half if long and thin. Ensure they are very close together to retain juiciness. Set aside to marinate for 15 minutes while making the hot honey sauce.

Set air fryer to 350°F on air fry mode.

In a saucepan, brown the butter. Add sliced garlic, soy sauce, red chili flakes, Thai red chili, salt, and pepper. Stir well, then add honey and let simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to a heat-proof container.

Arrange chicken in preheated air fryer, ensuring not to overcrowd. Air fry at 350°F for 15 minutes, basting with hot honey sauce at 7 minutes and again at the end.
