Loaded Garlic Bread Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 tablespoons softened butter
02 - 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
03 - Pinch of salt
04 - 5 garlic cloves, minced
05 - 1/2 teaspoon oregano
06 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
08 - 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (fresh or canned)
09 - Chopped parsley or scallions for garnish (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - With rack in middle position, preheat oven to 425°F.
02 - With an immersion blender, beat butter and mayonnaise, or stir well with a fork until smooth. Stir in salt, minced garlic, oregano, garlic powder, red pepper flakes (if using), and Parmesan cheese.
03 - Slice bread horizontally through the middle into two halves. Place on a baking sheet.
04 - Spread each bread half with half of the butter mixture.
05 - Place in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Then turn on broiler to high and let bread turn golden. Watch carefully as this only takes a few minutes.
06 - Remove bread from oven and, using kitchen shears, cut bread into slices. Serve while warm.

# Notes:

01 - Bread can be buttered and set aside until ready to bake. It can also be reheated after baking in a 300°F oven. When you smell it, it is ready to serve!
